This paper examines the example of the late Archbishop Anastasios of Albania regarding the preparation of missionaries for the Church. The text points out the inviolable duty of the Church to convey the message to those near and far, the characteristics of the preparation of the missionaries, the particularities of the recipients, the place of Christianity in the world community and finally the technical and spiritual prerequisites of the transmitters of the message of the Gospel. The text is based on the decisions of the Holy and Great Council of the Orthodox (Crete) 2016 and on the theological thought and example of the very life of the Missionary, academic teacher and prominent spiritual leader, Archbishop Anastasios of Albania (+Jan. 2025).
