In 2010-2012, a literal avalanche of articles appeared on the pages of Catholic publications, entitled: “The New Evangelisation of Europe”; “Through Evangelisation, Overcoming Social and Cultural Inequalities in a Globalized World”; “The Church Must Constantly Renew Its Gospel Mission”; “We Need to Find New Means of Proclaiming the Gospel”; “The Gospel is the Greatest Force for Change in the World,” etc. A special “Pontifical Council for the New Evangelisation” was created (September 21, 2010). In October 2012, a meeting of the Synod of Catholic Bishops was held in Rome to discuss the topic “The New Evangelisation for the Propagation of the Christian Faith.”
