Abstract

Awareness of religious persecution and advocacy of religious freedom in the US and the international Christian community has grown. However, political gains are not enough and many wrestle with the reason and response to persecution. Those who experience religious persecution must resist the temptation to flee, fight, or compromise. Christians who do not experience persecution directly must respond with righteous outrage and empathy.
