This article explores the experiences of ethnic Kazakhs who converted to Christianity, specifically Orthodox Christianity and Protestantism, in Kazakhstan. It features interviews with a Kazakh Orthodox priest and a Kazakh woman who grew up in a Protestant family. Both individuals discuss their faith journeys, challenges they faced from family and community due to their religious choices, and the evolving attitudes towards Christians in Kazakhstan. They also highlight the growing interest in spirituality among Kazakhs and the increasing openness of some communities, particularly in larger cities.
