The article examines the life, ministry, and theological emphases of the American theologian and pastor Herbert Gustav Schmidt during his activity in Western Ukraine in 1928–1939. Particular attention is paid to his participation in the formation of theological education and practice within Pentecostal churches, as well as his role in overcoming extreme forms of religious fanaticism, exaltation, and uncontrolled charismatic manifestations in worship. Despite his significant influence on the development of the Pentecostal movement, H. G. Schmidt avoided publicity, preferring to serve through education and theological journalism. His articles published in the journal “Prymyrytel” became an important reference point for several generations of Pentecostal ministers. The study is based on the analysis of monographs, memoirs, and periodicals. The article presents a biographical sketch of the theologian, examines his teaching activities at the Biblical Seminary in Danzig and participation in the work of the magazine "Prymyrytel", and also compiles a bibliography of his publications for 1930–1939.
